Thermocontrol

Thermocontrol refers to laboratory temperature-control equipment used to heat, cool and maintain samples under set conditions.Designed for dry bath, cooling and block-based workflows, thermocontrol equipment supports incubation, sample preparation and temperature-sensitive handling.Australian laboratories, schools, universities and research facilities use thermocontrol systems for reliable sample heating, cooling and routine lab processing.

Thermocontrol equipment provides controlled heating, cooling and temperature holding for compatible laboratory tubes, vials and sample vessels. The range includes a fixed 4°C cooling unit, mini dry baths, single and double-module dry baths, fixed-block models and heating and cooling units with optional hot-lid configurations.

Temperature options vary by model, from fixed cooling at 4°C through to dry bath heating at 60°C, 100°C, 105°C, 120°C or 150°C. Interchangeable block models allow laboratories to choose a block suited to the required tube size and sample format, while fixed-block units provide a dedicated layout for routine workflows.

Users should confirm the selected model’s temperature range, block compatibility, sample capacity and calibration features before ordering. The block openings must match the sample vessels, and tubes should remain properly seated to support consistent heat transfer. One model includes single-point calibration for adjustment at a selected reference temperature.

ISO 10012 provides requirements for measurement management systems, while ISO/IEC 17025 covers the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. ASTM E220 describes thermocouple calibration by comparison, and ASTM E2877 provides guidance for digital contact thermometers used in temperature checking. These are technical references only and should not be presented as confirmed product compliance without manufacturer documentation.

For LabChoice Australia customers, the Thermocontrol range provides practical equipment for research, education, quality control and routine sample preparation requiring controlled cooling, incubation or dry block heating.
