Description
The Low-Speed Multi-Rotor Centrifuge, also known as a general-purpose benchtop centrifuge, is designed for routine processing of capped centrifuge tubes, blood collection tubes and urine tubes. Its compatibility with optional fixed-angle and swing-out rotors allows clinical, pathology, biomedical research and general laboratories to configure the instrument for different tube formats and sample-processing requirements.
The centrifuge provides an adjustable speed range from 300 to 6,000 rpm in 10 rpm increments and generates a maximum relative centrifugal force of 4,100 × g. Speed accuracy of ±20 rpm supports consistent operating conditions, while the LCD allows users to view and switch between rpm and RCF according to the laboratory procedure.
A maximum rotor capacity of 4 × 100 mL supports larger-volume sample preparation. A broad selection of optional fixed-angle and swing-out rotors expands compatibility with different tubes and containers. The correct rotor, adapter and tube combination should be selected according to the tube dimensions, sample volume, rated centrifugal force and validated laboratory method.
Nine selectable acceleration levels and ten braking levels allow the starting and stopping response to be adjusted for different separation requirements. Gentle braking can help minimise disturbance of separated sample layers or sediments, while faster settings can reduce cycle time where the sample and laboratory procedure permit.
Up to nine procedures can be stored in memory, simplifying the recall of frequently used speed, RCF and run-time settings. Run time can be programmed from 30 seconds to 99 minutes, with continuous operation available for extended centrifugation. A pulse key supports quick-spin procedures where brief sample collection or sedimentation is required.
Automatic rotor identification helps the centrifuge recognise the installed rotor configuration before operation. Safety functions include door protection, imbalance protection, overspeed detection and over-temperature detection. The maintenance-free brushless DC motor supports repeated operation with a stated noise level of no more than 65 dB.
The centrifuge operates from either 220 to 240 V or 110 to 120 V, 50/60 Hz electrical supplies and has a rated power of 400 W. Its 570 × 445 × 295 mm dimensions and 36 kg weight provide a stable benchtop platform for routine laboratory centrifugation.
LabChoice Australia supplies this Low-Speed Multi-Rotor Centrifuge for clinical diagnostic laboratories, pathology laboratories, hospital laboratories, blood banks, urinalysis laboratories, pharmaceutical research facilities, universities, biomedical research institutes and industrial testing laboratories. It is suitable for routine separation and pre-analytical processing of compatible blood, urine and general laboratory samples using the appropriate rotor, balanced loading and validated centrifugation procedure.
