Description
The Low-Speed Dual-Ring Centrifuge, also known as a general-purpose laboratory centrifuge, is designed for routine sample processing in compatible 10 mL and 15 mL centrifuge tubes. Its dual-ring rotor arrangement accommodates 12 × 10 mL tubes in the inner ring and 12 × 15 mL tubes in the outer ring, supporting efficient processing of commonly used laboratory tube formats.
The centrifuge provides an adjustable speed range from 100 to 3,500 rpm in 100 rpm increments and generates a maximum relative centrifugal force of 2,260 × g. Speed accuracy of ±20 rpm supports consistent operating conditions during routine separation procedures.
Timed operation can be set from 30 seconds to 99 minutes 59 seconds, while continuous mode is available for procedures requiring an unrestricted running period. These operating modes allow the centrifuge to support both short sample-processing cycles and extended centrifugation workflows.
One acceleration setting and six selectable deceleration levels allow the braking response to be adjusted according to the sample and laboratory method. Gentler deceleration can help minimise disturbance of separated liquid layers, suspended material or sediment at the end of the centrifugation cycle.
The LCD provides real-time visibility of speed, operating time and instrument status. A running-progress display, audible alert and status diagnostic system help users monitor the cycle and identify operating conditions during routine use.
A brushless DC motor supports dependable operation without routine motor-brush replacement. The high-strength rotor and dynamic balancing technology help maintain stable performance while limiting operating noise to no more than 55 dB(A), making the centrifuge suitable for laboratories where reduced noise is preferred.
The centrifuge can support routine sample clarification, separation of suspended material, preparation of biological or chemical samples and pre-analytical processing where compatible 10 mL or 15 mL tubes and low-speed centrifugation are specified. The rotor should be loaded symmetrically, and tube compatibility should be confirmed before operation.
LabChoice Australia supplies this Low-Speed Dual-Ring Centrifuge for clinical research, pathology, biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmaceutical research, environmental testing, university teaching and general laboratory environments.
