Description
The High-Speed Mini Centrifuge, also known as a compact laboratory microcentrifuge, is designed for rapid processing of small-volume samples in compatible 0.2, 0.5, 1.5 and 2 mL tubes. It is suitable for molecular biology, PCR, genomics, biotechnology, biochemistry, clinical research, pharmaceutical research and university teaching laboratories requiring high-speed benchtop microcentrifugation.
The centrifuge is supplied with the DA12-2P plastic rotor, which accommodates 12 compatible tubes across 0.2, 0.5, 1.5 and 2 mL formats. This tube flexibility supports common microsample preparation workflows, including nucleic acid preparation, reagent spin-down, small-volume clarification and routine biological or chemical sample processing.
The unit operates from 500 to 15,000 rpm in 100 rpm increments and delivers a maximum relative centrifugal force of 15,100 × g. RCF can also be adjusted in 100 × g increments, while speed accuracy of ±20 rpm supports controlled operation during high-speed centrifugation.
Run time can be set from 30 seconds to 99 minutes, with continuous operation available for longer procedures. Pulse operation and the short-time run function support quick spins, including collecting droplets from tube walls and caps, briefly sedimenting small-volume samples and preparing tubes before downstream laboratory steps.
The brushless DC motor drives the rotor quickly to the target speed while maintaining smooth and quiet operation with a specified noise level of no more than 54 dB. Acceleration is specified at approximately 11 seconds, with braking in approximately 9 seconds, supporting efficient routine use in busy laboratory workflows.
Safety functions include an automatic lid lock, door interlock, overspeed detection, over-temperature detection and automatic internal diagnosis. The centrifuge has also passed an explosion-proof test and is certified with CE, cTÜVus and FCC as specified by the manufacturer.
The LCD provides clear operating visibility, while the speed and RCF switch allows users to work with the parameter required by their laboratory method. The sound-alert function indicates completion of the centrifugation cycle, supporting easier workflow monitoring during repeated runs.
LabChoice Australia supplies this High-Speed Mini Centrifuge for molecular biology laboratories, PCR and genomics laboratories, biotechnology laboratories, biochemistry laboratories, clinical research laboratories, pharmaceutical research facilities, medical research laboratories, university teaching laboratories and general life-science laboratories. It is suitable for plasmid extraction, nucleic acid purification, DNA and RNA sample preparation, pre-sequencing processing, sedimentation of biological components and biochemical or chemical analysis of microsamples using compatible tubes and validated centrifugation procedures. The unit measures 255 × 245 × 140 mm, weighs 6 kg and operates from AC 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz with a rated power of 100 W.
