Description

The Hematocrit High-Speed Centrifuge, also known as a microhematocrit centrifuge, is designed for high-speed centrifugation of compatible capillary tubes in haematology, clinical diagnostic, pathology, hospital, veterinary and medical teaching laboratories. It is supplied with the DAC24 hematocrit rotor kit for routine hematocrit and packed cell volume sample preparation.

The centrifuge operates from 500 to 12,000 rpm in 100 rpm increments and delivers a maximum relative centrifugal force of 13,680 × g. Speed accuracy is specified at ±100 rpm, supporting controlled operation where capillary blood samples require high-speed separation according to a validated laboratory method.

The DAC24 rotor kit accommodates up to 24 compatible capillary tubes, allowing multiple small-volume blood samples to be processed in a single run. The included rotor lid and reading disc support hematocrit workflows where centrifuged capillary samples need to be handled, protected and read according to laboratory procedure.

Run time can be programmed from 10 seconds to 99 minutes, with continuous operation available for methods requiring an unrestricted run period. The short-time run function supports brief centrifugation steps, while the sound-alert function notifies the operator when the run is complete.

The LCD display provides clear control of speed and time settings. The speed and RCF switch function allows users to select the operating parameter required by the laboratory protocol, supporting methods written in either rpm or relative centrifugal force.

A maintenance-free brushless DC motor supports reliable routine operation without motor-brush replacement. Acceleration and braking are both specified at approximately 40 seconds, supporting controlled movement to and from the selected speed during centrifugation.

The door interlock helps restrict access to the rotor during operation, supporting safer use in routine laboratory workflows. The centrifuge operates from a single-phase 200 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz power supply with a rated power of 380 W.

LabChoice Australia supplies this Hematocrit High-Speed Centrifuge for haematology laboratories, clinical diagnostic laboratories, pathology laboratories, hospital laboratories, veterinary diagnostic laboratories, medical schools, biomedical research facilities and university teaching laboratories. It is suitable for hematocrit testing, packed cell volume procedures and high-speed capillary blood sample preparation using the included DAC24 rotor kit, lid and reading disc. The unit measures 280 × 364 × 213 mm and weighs 8.5 kg.
