Description
The Polyethylene Y-Shape Tube Connector, also known as a Y-shaped plastic tubing connector, is designed for joining compatible flexible tubing in laboratory and educational apparatus setups. This connector is made from polyethylene and has a listed 6 mm OD, making it suitable for compatible tubing where the internal diameter, flexibility and grip match the connector size. The Y-shaped design is useful for splitting one compatible tubing line into two pathways or combining two compatible lines into one, depending on the approved laboratory setup.
The supplied dimensions list an overall length of 78 mm, with each Y branch measuring 37 mm and the stem measuring 37 mm. This connector can be used in suitable air, gas or liquid transfer demonstrations where the complete tubing system, chemical exposure and operating conditions are compatible with polyethylene. Users should confirm tubing inner diameter, connector OD, chemical compatibility, temperature exposure, liquid or gas type, pressure condition and full apparatus setup before ordering or use. Polyethylene should not be used with incompatible solvents, high heat, open flame or unsuitable chemicals unless material suitability has been confirmed.
Do not use with pressure, vacuum, hazardous gases, flammable vapours or critical fluid transfer unless the complete system has been assessed and approved. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the selected polyethylene Y-shape tube connector only. Tubing, clamps, valves, pumps, glassware, chemicals, PPE and additional laboratory accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Polyethylene Tube Connectors and laboratory tubing accessories for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories, research facilities and educational laboratories requiring practical connectors for compatible tubing setups.
