Description
The High-Speed Capillary Tube Centrifuge, also known as a microhaematocrit centrifuge, is designed for rapid separation of small-volume samples contained in compatible capillary tubes. Its 24-place rotor allows laboratories to process multiple capillary samples in a single cycle, supporting routine haematology, clinical diagnostics, pathology and biomedical research workflows.
The centrifuge operates from 200 to 12,000 rpm in precise 10 rpm increments and generates a maximum relative centrifugal force of 13,680 × g. Speed accuracy of ±20 rpm supports consistent operating conditions during high-speed centrifugation. Users can switch between rotational speed and RCF display according to the requirements of the laboratory method.
Run time can be programmed from 30 seconds to 99 minutes, with continuous operation available for procedures requiring an unrestricted centrifugation period. Pulse operation and the short-time run function support rapid quick-spin cycles, while the audible alert notifies the operator when the programmed run has finished.
The LCD and intuitive operating menu provide clear access to speed and time settings. Acceleration and braking are specified at approximately 30 seconds each, supporting controlled progression to the selected speed and controlled rotor deceleration at the end of the cycle.
The maintenance-free brushless DC motor supports repeated laboratory use without routine brush replacement. Safety functions include a door interlock, overspeed detection, automatic internal diagnostics and automatic rotor identification. An over-temperature detector is also specified in the supplied product features, providing an additional level of operational monitoring.
The 24-place capillary rotor is suitable for capillary blood sample processing and laboratory methods involving high-speed separation of small-volume samples. Typical environments include haematology laboratories, clinical diagnostic laboratories, pathology laboratories, hospital laboratories, veterinary diagnostic laboratories, biomedical research facilities, universities and medical teaching laboratories.
LabChoice Australia supplies this High-Speed Capillary Tube Centrifuge for laboratories requiring accurate speed control, quick-spin capability and simultaneous processing of up to 24 compatible capillary tubes.
