- Description
Description
The High-Speed Microcentrifuge, also known as a compact laboratory microfuge, is designed for rapid centrifugation of small-volume samples in compatible microcentrifuge tubes, PCR tubes and PCR 8-tube strips. It is suitable for molecular biology, PCR, qPCR, genomics, biotechnology, biochemistry, clinical research, pharmaceutical research and university teaching laboratories.
The centrifuge reaches a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm. It delivers up to 6,708 × g when used with compatible 1.5 or 2 mL tubes, and 6,596 to 7,490 × g for PCR 8-strip configurations. The correct tube type, adapter and loading arrangement should always be selected according to the validated laboratory method.
The package includes the DFA12-2P rotor, which supports 12 × 0.5, 1.5 or 2 mL compatible microcentrifuge tubes. The centrifuge also supports 4 × 0.2 mL PCR 8-tube strips or up to 44 × 0.2 mL PCR tubes in the compatible PCR configuration. DSA02P and DSA05P2 adapters are included in the box to support practical tube compatibility during routine use.
The OLED display allows users to view and switch between speed and time settings. Run time can be set from 10 seconds to 20 minutes, making the centrifuge suitable for brief spin-down procedures as well as short routine centrifugation cycles used in sample preparation and molecular biology workflows.
The DC motor provides smooth and quiet operation with a specified noise level of ≤58 dB. Wide-voltage technology supports operation from AC 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz and helps maintain speed accuracy when normal voltage fluctuations occur.
The robust rotor uses a clamp-locking design for secure handling and straightforward operation. Screen buttons allow direct start and stop control of the motor, while soft braking and instant-stop modes allow users to choose the stopping response according to the sample type and laboratory procedure.
Typical applications include PCR tube spin-down, microtube sample preparation, collecting droplets from tube walls and caps, preparing reaction mixtures, brief sedimentation of small-volume samples and routine pre-analytical preparation before molecular biology or biochemical workflows.
LabChoice Australia supplies this High-Speed Microcentrifuge for molecular biology laboratories, PCR and qPCR laboratories, genomics laboratories, biotechnology laboratories, biochemistry laboratories, clinical research laboratories, pharmaceutical research facilities, university teaching laboratories and general life-science laboratories. Its compact 210 × 180 × 130 mm body, 1.5 kg weight and included DFA12-2P rotor with DSA02P and DSA05P2 adapters make it suitable for routine benchtop microcentrifugation using compatible tubes and validated procedures.
