Description
The High-Speed Microcentrifuge, also known as a compact high-speed laboratory centrifuge, is designed for rapid separation and sample preparation using a broad range of microcentrifuge tubes, PCR strips and 5 mL centrifuge tubes. Its five available rotor options allow laboratories to configure the instrument for different tube capacities and experimental workflows.
The centrifuge provides an adjustable speed range from 200 to 15,000 rpm and develops a maximum relative centrifugal force of 21,380 × g. RCF can be adjusted in 10 × g steps, allowing the operating force to be selected according to the tube format, sample type and validated laboratory method. Speed and RCF values can be switched for convenient monitoring during operation.
Available rotor configurations accommodate 24 × 1.5 or 2 mL tubes, 36 × 0.5 mL tubes, 4 × PCR 8-tube strips, 12 × 5 mL tubes or 18 × 5 mL tubes. This broad compatibility supports small-volume sample processing, PCR workflows, cell and molecular biology procedures, chemical sample preparation and research applications requiring different centrifuge tube formats.
Run times can be programmed from 30 seconds to 99 minutes, while HOLD mode enables continuous operation. Nine selectable acceleration and deceleration levels allow the centrifuge response to be adjusted for different sample requirements. Acceleration to maximum operating conditions and braking are specified at approximately 25 seconds each.
The LCD provides clear visibility of operating parameters and the running-process indicator allows users to follow centrifugation progress. Additional functions include program storage, inching operation for brief centrifugation, an audible completion alert and selectable speed or RCF display. The brushless DC motor supports repeated operation while maintaining a specified noise level of no more than 64 dB.
A motorised door-locking system supports convenient one-handed operation, while the dual door lock, overspeed detection and internal diagnostic system provide additional operational safeguards. The centrifuge measures 280 × 400 × 240 mm, weighs 8.8 kg and is available for either 200 to 240 V or 100 to 120 V, 50/60 Hz electrical supplies.
LabChoice Australia supplies this High-Speed Microcentrifuge for cell biology, molecular biology, PCR, chemistry, biotechnology, pharmaceutical research, university, research and industrial laboratories. It is suitable for high-speed separation, sample clarification, microtube processing, PCR sample preparation and routine centrifugation procedures performed with compatible rotors and validated laboratory protocols.
