Description
The Variable Speed Vortex Mixer, also known as a single tube vortex mixer, is designed for routine laboratory workflows where quick and controlled mixing of individual test tubes is required. This compact vortex mixer is suitable for most test tubes up to 28 mm diameter, making it practical for general sample preparation, reagent mixing, resuspension and teaching laboratory use. The speed control range is listed from 200 to 2700 rpm. This allows users to select a gentle mixing action for sensitive samples or a more vigorous vortex action where stronger mixing is required.
The mixer includes two operating modes. In automatic mode, the unit runs continuously. In manual mode, the mixer activates when the tube is placed in the mixing cup and downward pressure is applied. Users can vary the mixing action by adjusting the speed, tube angle and applied pressure. This supports practical control during routine tube mixing and helps users match the vortex action to the sample requirement. The unit is fitted with a silicone mixing cup for tube placement during operation. The drive system is counterbalanced to support quiet and smooth performance during routine laboratory use.
