The spectral lamp mounts inside a black protective tube that rises from the top of the power unit. This arrangement helps position the lamp securely while supporting controlled observation through the selected aperture.

By rotating the outer sleeve of the lamp cover, users can select different aperture shapes. These apertures are positioned at the correct height for use with the IEC Flame and “AA” Spectrometer LC-80-CH3792-001, supporting consistent alignment during spectral line observation. This is a true spectral lamp power unit and should not be confused with a general spectrum lamp power supply. It is intended for use with compatible spectral lamps designed for this style of apparatus. The unit is supplied without lamps. Compatible spectral lamps are available separately, including sodium, mercury, neon and helium options.
