Description
The Water Bath Temperature Controller for Hot Plate, also known as a thermostat control for IEC water bath systems, is designed to control a compatible hot plate so the temperature in the IEC water bath can be held more consistently. This thermostat control, listed as LC-80-CH4240-101, fits to the edge of the IEC water bath and works with the hot plate to regulate heating during compatible laboratory and educational workflows. The thermostat element slides down to the inner corner of the bath, allowing it to remain submerged even when only a small volume of water is used. This supports practical temperature sensing during smaller-volume water bath applications.
The controller can maintain a set temperature in the bath when used wet or dry, provided the setup and method are suitable. When used dry, the probe should press against the inside face of the bath so it checks the temperature of the metal bath itself and helps avoid overheating. For approximate temperature control, careful adjustment of the hot plate heat regulator may keep the water bath reasonably steady. However, this method is not as regulated or accurate as using the thermostat control unit. This temperature controller is useful for biology practicals, sample warming, classroom water bath activities, teaching laboratory heating workflows and compatible dry bath applications using the IEC water bath and hot plate arrangement.
Users should confirm compatibility with the IEC water bath, hot plate, temperature requirement, wet or dry operating method and safety procedure before use. Hot water, heated metal surfaces and hot glassware should be handled with suitable PPE and supervision. This item is supplied as the water bath temperature controller only. IEC water bath, hot plate, test tube stands, tubes, thermometer, samples and additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Water Bath Temperature Controllers for school science laboratories, biology classrooms, university teaching laboratories and general education environments requiring improved temperature control for compatible IEC hot plate water bath setups.
