The Density Cube Set, 1.0 cm Edge, Set of 6 in Plastic Box, also known as a metal density cube set, is designed for physics, materials science and general science teaching activities. This set includes 6 cubes made from aluminium, brass, copper, lead, zinc and iron, allowing students to compare the physical properties of different metals in a practical classroom format. Each cube has a listed 1.0 cm edge length, helping students calculate volume from the cube dimensions and then determine density after measuring mass with a compatible balance. The set is useful for lessons covering density, mass, volume, material identification, metals, physical properties and comparison testing.
The consistent cube shape supports clear student investigation, as cubes with the same size can have different masses depending on the material. The cubes are supplied in a plastic box, supporting organised storage, classroom distribution and protection when not in use. Some cubes may rust over time. To help prevent rust, store the cubes in a dry, moisture-free area.
