The Student Triple Range DC Ammeter, also known as a three-range classroom DC current meter, is designed for measuring direct current in physics laboratories, electronics classrooms, school science departments and supervised educational circuit experiments.
The three-range format allows students and teachers to select a suitable current range on one instrument. This helps support practical circuit work where current may vary between lower milliamp measurements and higher ampere-range demonstrations. Available configurations include 0 to 100 mA, 0 to 500 mA and 0 to 1 A, plus 0 to 50 mA, 0 to 500 mA and 0 to 5 A. The correct model should be selected according to the expected current level, circuit design and teaching application.
The meter is suitable for circuit analysis, Ohm’s Law practicals, current-flow demonstrations, load comparison activities and introductory electrical investigations. It helps students observe how current changes when resistance, voltage or circuit components are adjusted.
