Description
The Nylon Pulleys for Bench Clamp and Rod Mounting, also known as 50 mm laboratory pulley mounting accessories, are designed for mechanics demonstrations involving cord routing, force direction, tension and pulley system setup. They are suitable for school physics laboratories, university teaching laboratories and supervised educational mechanics experiments. The bench mounted horizontal pulley uses a 50 mm diameter nylon pulley mounted on a strong aluminium frame. It is designed to clamp to a bench top or flat surface, with a maximum clamping thickness of 25 mm.
When clamped in position, the side of the pulley is parallel to the bench surface. This supports applications where a cord needs to run close to the table top and then pass back over the table surface during practical mechanics demonstrations. The clamp screw includes a protective pad on the tip to help reduce bench surface damage during installation. Users should confirm bench thickness, clamp grip and cord alignment before operation. The vertical adjustable pulley assembly uses a pulley on a bent rod with a universal bench clamp. The pulley can be raised high, lowered to table height or pointed in different directions, supporting flexible cord path setup during force and motion experiments.
The universal bench clamp opens to 40 mm and can hold compatible devices up to 12.5 mm diameter either vertically or horizontally. This supports practical mounting flexibility in classroom and laboratory demonstrations. Pulley-on-rod options are available in straight and offset bent formats. Each option uses a 50 mm diameter nylon pulley fixed to an 8 mm diameter anodised aluminium rod, 200 mm long. The rod design aligns the pulley groove with the rod to support a consistent cord path. The straight rod version can be held by a compatible bench clamp or by a retort stand and boss head. The offset bent rod version can also be held by a bench clamp or retort stand and boss head, with the bend supporting different positioning arrangements. These pulleys are intended for supervised educational use. Users should select the correct mounting method, clamp position, cord type and load arrangement according to the experiment, and check that all clamps and supports are secure before use.
LabChoice Australia supplies 50 mm Nylon Pulleys for Bench Clamp and Rod Mounting for school physics departments, university teaching laboratories and mechanics demonstration workspaces. They are suitable for supervised experiments involving force direction, tension, cord routing, pulley alignment, load movement and basic mechanics principles.
