Description
The Micrometer, also known as a micrometer screw gauge, is designed for measuring small external dimensions in laboratory, workshop and educational settings. This micrometer has a listed measuring range of 0–25 mm with 0.01 mm divisions, supporting practical measurement activities where finer resolution than a standard ruler or vernier scale may be required. The instrument is made from stainless steel with a chrome finish, making it suitable for routine classroom, teaching laboratory and general measurement use. The steel screw has a listed 0.5 mm pitch, supporting controlled spindle movement during measurement.
It is supplied in a plastic case, helping protect the instrument during storage and transport between practical activities. This micrometer is useful for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories, physics classrooms, engineering demonstrations and general dimensional measurement exercises. Users should confirm the measuring range, resolution, calibration requirement, sample suitability and approved measurement procedure before use.
Do not over-tighten the spindle onto the sample, drop the instrument, force the screw mechanism or use the micrometer on unsuitable hot, dirty or abrasive materials. For formal quality control, traceable measurement or compliance work, users should confirm whether a calibration certificate or documented accuracy is required before use. This item is supplied as the micrometer with plastic case only. Calibration certificate, gauge blocks, samples, worksheets, tools and additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Micrometers and laboratory measurement instruments for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories, engineering education and general science facilities requiring practical dimensional measurement tools.
