Description
The Calorimeter Cup Insulation Box and Lid, also known as a calorimeter insulation container, is designed for use with a compatible 50 × 75 mm calorimeter cup where improved insulation is required during teaching laboratory experiments. This accessory is made from specially moulded, high-density polystyrene. The strong insulated construction helps reduce heat exchange with the surrounding environment during suitable heating or cooling experiments. The insulation box is designed to hold the compatible calorimeter cup securely, supporting more consistent setup during classroom calorimetry and heat transfer activities.
The supplied styrene foam lid is large enough to fully cover the ABS plastic calorimeter lid if fitted. This helps improve insulation around the top of the calorimeter setup during compatible experiments. Holes are provided in the styrene foam lid for the stirrer handle and for a central thermometer. This allows temperature monitoring and stirring access while the calorimeter remains covered. The colour may be supplied as either blue or white, depending on availability. Colour should be treated as variable unless confirmed at the time of ordering. This item is supplied as the insulation box and lid only. Calorimeter cup, ABS plastic calorimeter lid, stirrer, thermometer, water and any additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
