The Circuit Board Kit, Worcester Pattern Complete, also known as a basic electricity teaching circuit kit, is designed for introducing students to simple electrical circuits in school science laboratories, physics classrooms, electronics teaching rooms and supervised educational environments.
This traditional teaching kit was originally designed as part of the Worcester teaching system. It provides a practical hands-on format for building and observing basic circuits using visible components and direct board connections. The kit includes a large back board with 16 strong upstanding pins. Circuit components are fitted with rugged bronze strips that flex and grip the pins tightly, allowing circuits to be created by connecting components from pin to pin. The supplied component list includes cell holders, switches, lamps, links, rectifier, resistor, potentiometer, fuse and resistance wires, electrodes and other listed kit parts. This supports introductory lessons on circuit construction, switching, resistance, current paths and simple electrical behaviour.
The format is useful for classroom demonstrations and student practicals because components can be arranged and changed directly on the board. This helps students see the circuit layout clearly while building confidence with basic electricity concepts. The stated box size is 360 × 330 × 55 mm, with a weight of 1.25 kg. Replacement 2.5 V MES spare globes are referenced separately for ongoing classroom maintenance where required.This product contains small parts and may present a choking hazard to children under 3 years.
