Description
The Calorimeter Cup Pair, Inner and Outer with Lid and Stirrer, also known as a double-cup laboratory calorimeter, is designed for simple water-based calorimetry experiments in school and teaching laboratory environments. The set includes an outer cup and an inner calorimeter cup arranged so that the mouths of both cups sit level. This allows the supplied plastic lid to engage both cups and help keep the inner and outer cup aligned during use. The outer cup measures 75 × 100 mm, diameter × height, while the inner calorimeter cup measures 50 × 75 mm, diameter × height. The size arrangement allows the inner cup to sit inside the larger outer cup for insulated water-based experimental work.
A styrene foam insulation pad is positioned at the bottom of the outer cup. This helps support and centralise the inner calorimeter cup, reducing direct contact and supporting more consistent classroom calorimetry setup. The supplied plastic lid includes a centre hole for thermometer insertion. This allows students or laboratory users to monitor water temperature during compatible heat transfer or calorimetry demonstrations. The stirrer is designed to operate with a vertical action inside the smaller inner cup without touching the thermometer. This supports gentle mixing of water during temperature measurement, helping improve uniformity during suitable experiments.
This calorimeter cup pair is designed to be used with water only. It should not be used with corrosive chemicals, flammable liquids, oils, solvents or high-temperature materials unless suitability has been formally confirmed by the laboratory supervisor. This item is supplied as the calorimeter cup pair with lid and stirrer only. Thermometer, water, chemicals, heat source and any additional laboratory accessories are not included unless specified separately.
