Description
The Low-Speed Laboratory Centrifuge, also known as a benchtop clinical centrifuge, is designed for routine processing of samples contained in compatible 1.5 to 5 mL, 7 mL and 10 mL laboratory tubes. Its twelve-place rotor supports small-batch centrifugation in clinical, pathology, biochemical, teaching and general research laboratories.
The centrifuge provides an adjustable speed range from 300 to 4,500 rpm in 100 rpm increments and develops a maximum relative centrifugal force of 2,490 × g. Speed accuracy of ±20 rpm supports consistent operation, while the selectable RPM and RCF display allows the operating parameter to be matched to the laboratory method.
Run time can be programmed from 30 seconds to 99 minutes, with HOLD mode available for continuous operation. A press-and-hold pulse key activates the short-time run function for quick spins, including brief sample collection at the bottom of compatible tubes before further preparation or analysis.
The LCD and intuitive operating menu provide clear access to speed, RCF and time settings. Acceleration is specified at approximately 20 seconds, with braking in approximately 13 seconds for the supplied A12-10P rotor configuration. The manufacturer also specifies two adjustable braking levels for use only with the separate A6-50P rotor, not the supplied twelve-place rotor.
A maintenance-free brushless DC motor supports dependable routine use without motor-brush replacement. The high-strength plastic rotor is designed to provide balanced and stable operation, while the dual-protection housing adds structural containment during centrifugation. Gentle low-speed braking helps reduce disturbance of separated sample layers at the end of a cycle.
The electric lid lock prevents access to the rotor during operation and releases automatically after the run has finished. Safety functions include a door interlock, overspeed detection and automatic internal diagnostics. The manufacturer states that the centrifuge is CE marked, cTÜVus certified and has passed an explosion-proof test. A sound alert indicates completion of the operating cycle.
LabChoice Australia supplies this Low-Speed Laboratory Centrifuge for clinical diagnostic, pathology, biochemistry, medical teaching, university, research and general laboratory environments requiring controlled centrifugation of compatible small-volume tubes.
