Description
The LED Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer, also known as a laboratory magnetic hotplate stirrer, is designed for simultaneous heating and magnetic stirring in chemistry, materials science, environmental testing, pharmaceutical research, food testing, petrochemical and university research laboratories. It is suitable for workflows requiring controlled heating, liquid mixing, sample concentration, digestion and pre-treatment before analysis.
The 7-inch glass ceramic work plate measures 184 × 184 mm and provides a durable, chemical-resistant heating surface. The smooth glass ceramic plate is easy to clean and supports efficient heat transfer when used with compatible laboratory vessels and validated heating procedures. The hotplate stirrer provides a heating temperature range from room temperature to 550°C, adjustable in 5°C increments. Temperature control accuracy is specified at ±10°C, while temperature display accuracy is ±1°C. The LED display shows the actual temperature clearly during operation, supporting routine monitoring during heating workflows.
The unit supports magnetic stirring up to 10 L of water, with a speed range from 0 to 1500 rpm. The speed is controlled by a scale setting, while temperature is shown on the LED display. Two control knobs allow practical adjustment of stirring speed and heating temperature during routine laboratory use. External temperature control is possible by connecting a PT1000 temperature sensor, with stated sensor accuracy of ±0.2°C. This supports closer sample temperature monitoring where the laboratory method requires temperature feedback from the sample or vessel environment.
Safety functions include built-in PID temperature control, HOT warning and overheating temperature protection. The HOT warning flashes when the work plate temperature is above 50°C, even when the hotplate is turned off. Overheating temperature protection is set at 580°C, supporting safer operation during high-temperature laboratory procedures. The magnetic stirring system has one stirring position and supports a maximum magnetic stir bar length of 80 mm. The specified motor type is a shaded pole motor, with motor rating output of 1.5 W. The unit has IP21 protection class and is designed for controlled benchtop use in laboratory environments.
Typical applications include preparation of nanomaterials and inorganic materials, high-temperature catalysis, metal catalyst preparation, synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates, organic synthesis, soil and mineral digestion, rapid sample concentration, sample drying, pre-treatment before detection and analysis, and automated continuous-flow reaction workflows.
LabChoice Australia supplies this LED Magnetic Hotplate Stirrer for university laboratories, research institutes, organic synthesis laboratories, petrochemical laboratories, inorganic materials laboratories, environmental engineering laboratories, mineral processing laboratories, battery and motor material R&D facilities, pharmaceutical R&D laboratories, food testing laboratories, QC departments, environmental monitoring stations and food and drug inspection laboratories.
