Description
The IEC Simmerstat Magnetic Stirrer Hotplate with Aluminium Plate, also known as a combination laboratory hot plate stirrer, is designed for heating and stirring compatible liquid samples in laboratory and educational settings. This unit combines hot plate heating with magnetic stirring, allowing users to heat a suitable vessel while maintaining sample movement using a compatible magnetic stir bar. The heating function is controlled by a Simmerstat temperature control. The front panel provides the user with a mains switch, heat control and stirring speed control for practical day-to-day operation.
The unit includes a plain rectangular high-temperature alloy top plate measuring 200 × 180 mm, supporting compatible laboratory vessels used in routine heating and stirring workflows. This hot plate stirrer is suitable for chemistry practicals, solution preparation, sample warming, reagent mixing, teaching demonstrations and general laboratory sample preparation where combined heating and stirring are required. Users should confirm vessel suitability, liquid volume, stir bar size, heating requirement and chemical compatibility before operation. The top plate should be kept clean and protected from unsuitable spills or abrasive cleaning methods.
This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate teacher or laboratory supervisor control. Heated surfaces remain hazardous after use and should be allowed to cool before handling or cleaning. An EUD may be required in some Australian states.
