Description
The Pascal’s Vase Apparatus, also known as a communicating vessels apparatus or hydrostatic pressure demonstration apparatus, is designed for teaching liquid pressure and fluid level behaviour. The apparatus uses 4 different size tubes on a stand to show that the pressure of a liquid depends on the depth of the liquid and not on the shape of the vessel containing it. When a compatible liquid is added, the arrangement helps students observe how liquid levels and hydrostatic pressure behave across connected or differently shaped tubes during classroom demonstrations.
This product is useful for teaching Pascal’s principle, fluid pressure, hydrostatic pressure, liquid depth, communicating vessels and related physics concepts. It is suitable for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories and educational facilities requiring a simple visual demonstration of liquid pressure behaviour. Users should confirm the apparatus setup, tube condition, stand stability, liquid type, filling method and classroom procedure before use. Use only compatible, non-hazardous demonstration liquids unless the apparatus and procedure have been approved for the selected liquid.
Glass or transparent tube components should be handled carefully. Avoid impact, sudden force, overtightening, unstable bench placement and use of cracked or damaged parts. Spilled liquid may create a slip hazard. Use the apparatus on a stable surface and clean any spills immediately according to laboratory procedure.
This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the selected liquid level apparatus with 4 tubes on stand only. Water, dyes, measuring cylinders, worksheets, PPE and additional fluid mechanics accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Liquid Level Apparatus and physics teaching equipment for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories and educational facilities requiring practical demonstrations of hydrostatic pressure and liquid-level principles.
