Description
The Bottle Vortex Connector, Tornado and Fluid Dynamics Demonstration, also known as a vortex tube for bottle tornado demonstrations, is designed to connect two compatible plastic soda bottles for simple fluid motion experiments. One bottle is filled with water, both bottles are joined using the tube, and the assembly is inverted to create a swirling tornado effect inside the bottle. This demonstration helps introduce students to the vortex effect, circular fluid motion, air-water exchange and basic hydraulic behaviour in a clear visual format.
The tube can also be used for tornado races, timing activities, viscosity comparisons and other classroom demonstrations using suitable liquids. This apparatus is useful for school science laboratories, STEM classrooms, university teaching activities and general educational demonstrations involving fluids and motion. Users should confirm bottle thread compatibility, liquid suitability, sealing fit and approved classroom method before use. Do not over-tighten the connector, use cracked bottles, apply excessive pressure or use hazardous liquids in the demonstration.
After use, the tube should be rinsed and dried according to the classroom or laboratory procedure to reduce residue and contamination. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the tornado tube connector only. Plastic soda bottles, water, dyes, stopwatch, trays, towels, worksheets and additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
