Description
The High-Speed Refrigerated Centrifuge, also known as a refrigerated laboratory centrifuge, is designed for high-speed, temperature-controlled sample separation in life science, biological research, pharmaceutical, environmental, chemical, food, microbiology, soil analysis, petroleum, mining and textile laboratory workflows. It supports demanding separation procedures where speed, cooling performance, rotor flexibility and repeatable operation are required.
The centrifuge reaches a maximum speed of 16,000 rpm and a maximum relative centrifugal force of 28,621 × g. The speed range is adjustable from 300 to 16,000 rpm in 1 rpm increments, while RCF can be adjusted in 1 × g steps. Speed accuracy is specified at ±20 rpm, supporting precise centrifugation control for routine and advanced laboratory methods.
The 7-inch touchscreen display provides a smart touch-control interface for simple method setup and operation. This supports easier use in shared laboratories where multiple users may need fast access to repeatable centrifugation settings without complex manual configuration.
The refrigerated system provides a temperature range from -10°C to 40°C, making the centrifuge suitable for temperature-sensitive samples and low-temperature separation workflows. Rapid cooling allows the chamber to cool from room temperature to 4°C in as fast as 7 minutes, helping laboratories prepare efficiently for refrigerated centrifugation.
Run time can be set from 30 seconds to 99 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds, with continuous operation available. Nine acceleration levels and nine deceleration levels allow users to select the start and stop profile according to sample type, tube format, rotor configuration and separation requirement.
Soft braking helps minimise disturbance during deceleration, supporting cleaner separation where pellets, gradients or separated liquid layers need to remain stable. The brushless DC motor supports reliable operation, with a stated operating noise level as low as 70 dB for a more comfortable laboratory environment.
Safety and monitoring functions include dynamic balance detection with automatic rotor imbalance warning. This helps reduce the risk of equipment stress, sample loss and operating errors caused by uneven loading. Program storage supports up to 100 user-defined methods, allowing frequent centrifugation procedures to be recalled quickly and consistently.
A wide range of rotor and adapter options is available to support bottles, tubes, microplates and PCR formats. Compatible formats stated in the supplied data include 400 mL and 200 mL bottles, 100 mL, 85 mL, 50 mL, 15 mL, 12 mL, 10 mL, 7 mL, 5 mL, 2 mL and 1.5 mL tubes, plus 384-well PCR plates, 96-well microplates and 8-strip PCR tubes when the correct compatible rotor or adapter is selected.
A compatible 200 mL round suspension basket set is also available as a set of 4, including hanger, cup, lid and handle. This basket set is designed for 180 mL PP polypropylene centrifuge bottles with a stated bottle size of 56.5 × 123 mm, supporting larger-volume refrigerated centrifugation workflows where the correct compatible rotor and bottle configuration is used.
Typical applications include biochemical studies, immunology, clinical medicine-related research, pharmaceutical drug development, CRO services, water quality testing, pollutant analysis, organic and inorganic chemical separation, food sample separation, soil nutrient and organic matter extraction, petroleum and mineral sample pretreatment, textile fibre analysis and microbial culture research.
LabChoice Australia supplies this High-Speed Refrigerated Centrifuge for life science laboratories, biological research laboratories, pharmaceutical R&D facilities, CRO laboratories, environmental testing laboratories, chemical analysis laboratories, food testing laboratories, microbiology laboratories, soil analysis laboratories, petroleum and mining laboratories, textile testing laboratories and university research facilities.
