Description
The High-Speed Microcentrifuge, also known as a compact laboratory microfuge, is designed for rapid centrifugation of small-volume samples held in compatible microcentrifuge tubes, individual PCR tubes and PCR strip tubes. Its compact construction supports routine sample preparation where fast spin-down and controlled separation are required without occupying substantial laboratory bench space.
The centrifuge reaches a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm. It generates up to 6,708 × g when operating with compatible 1.5 or 2 mL microcentrifuge tubes and between 6,596 and 7,490 × g with compatible PCR 8-tube strip configurations. The appropriate tube type, rotor position and operating conditions should be selected according to the sample requirements and laboratory protocol.
Its flexible rotor configuration accommodates up to 12 × 0.5, 1.5 or 2 mL tubes together with 4 × 0.2 mL PCR 8-tube strips, or up to 44 individual 0.2 mL PCR tubes. This capacity supports routine molecular biology and PCR workflows while also allowing laboratories to process commonly used microtube formats on the same compact instrument.
The OLED display allows the operator to view and switch between speed and time settings. Run times can be set from 10 seconds to 20 minutes, making the unit suitable for brief spin-down procedures and defined centrifugation cycles. Screen controls provide direct motor start and stop operation, while selectable soft-braking and instant-stop modes allow the stopping response to be matched to the procedure.
A clamp-locking rotor design supports secure rotor closure and straightforward sample loading. The DC motor provides smooth operation with a specified noise level of no more than 58 dB. Wide-voltage technology supports operation from 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz and helps maintain speed performance where electrical supply voltage fluctuates.
LabChoice Australia supplies this High-Speed Microcentrifuge for molecular biology, PCR, genomics, biotechnology, biochemistry, clinical research, pharmaceutical, university and teaching laboratories. It is suitable for microtube and PCR sample spin-down, collecting reaction mixtures at the bottom of tubes, separating small-volume samples and supporting routine pre-analytical laboratory preparation.
