Description
The High-Speed Mini Centrifuge, also known as a compact laboratory microcentrifuge, is designed for rapid processing of small-volume samples in compatible 0.2, 0.5, 1.5 and 2 mL microcentrifuge tubes. Its 12-place capacity supports routine molecular biology, biochemistry and microsample preparation procedures while maintaining a compact benchtop footprint.
The centrifuge operates from 500 to 15,000 rpm in 100 rpm increments and produces a maximum relative centrifugal force of 15,100 × g. RCF can be adjusted in 100 × g increments, while speed accuracy of ±20 rpm supports precise control during high-speed centrifugation. Users can switch between speed and RCF display according to the requirements of the laboratory protocol.
Run time can be programmed from 30 seconds to 99 minutes, with continuous operation available for longer procedures. Pulse operation and the short-time run function support rapid quick spins, including collecting droplets from tube walls and caps or briefly sedimenting material at the bottom of compatible tubes. Acceleration is specified at approximately 11 seconds, with braking in approximately 9 seconds.
The brushless DC motor reaches the selected speed quickly and supports smooth operation with a specified noise level of no more than 54 dB. The unit operates from a single-phase 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz power supply with a rated input of 100 W, supporting installation across a broad range of controlled laboratory environments.
The centrifuge can support plasmid extraction, nucleic acid purification, DNA and RNA sample preparation, pre-sequencing processing, sedimentation of biological components and biochemical or chemical analysis of microsamples. It is suitable for molecular biology, genomics, biotechnology, biochemistry, clinical research, pharmaceutical research, university and general life-science laboratories using compatible tubes and validated centrifugation methods.
Automatic lid locking, door interlock, overspeed detection, over-temperature detection and automatic internal diagnostics provide multiple operational safeguards. A sound-alert function indicates completion of the centrifugation cycle. The instrument has passed an explosion-proof test and is supplied with CE, cTÜVus and FCC certification information as stated by the manufacturer.
LabChoice Australia supplies this High-Speed Mini Centrifuge for laboratories requiring accurate, high-speed processing of small-volume biological, biochemical and chemical samples. Its 255 × 245 × 140 mm dimensions, 6 kg weight, 12-place tube capacity and quiet operation support routine molecular biology and research workflows where controlled microcentrifugation is required.
