Description
The Hipipette Fully Autoclavable Colour-Coded Manual 12-Channel Pipette, also known as an adjustable multichannel micropipette, is designed for simultaneous low-volume liquid transfer in molecular biology, PCR, qPCR, genomics, biotechnology and immunoassay laboratories. Its 0.5 to 10 µL range supports repetitive microplate workflows where multiple wells must be filled with consistent sample or reagent volumes.
The pipette is suitable for compatible universal pipette tips, the twelve-channel format allows an entire compatible 96-well microplate row to be processed in one pipetting action. This reduces the number of individual transfers required during assay setup, reagent distribution and sample preparation, helping improve workflow efficiency in laboratories that routinely process multiple plates.
Volume can be adjusted in precise 0.01 µL increments throughout the specified operating range. The integrated volume-lock mechanism helps prevent accidental changes after the required volume has been selected, supporting more consistent operation during repeated aspiration and dispensing cycles.
Performance is tested at 10 µL, 5 µL and 1 µL. At 10 µL, the stated systematic error is ±0.2 µL or ±2%, with a random error of ±0.12 µL or ±1.2%. At 5 µL, the systematic error is ±0.2 µL or ±4%, with a random error of ±0.125 µL or ±2.5%. At 1 µL, the systematic error is ±0.1 µL or ±10%, with a random error of ±0.06 µL or ±6%.
The lightweight construction, low plunger force and smooth piston movement are designed to reduce hand and wrist strain during high-frequency pipetting. An ergonomic finger rest and comfortable handle provide a stable grip, supporting controlled one-handed operation during repetitive dispensing and microplate preparation.
The elastic tip-loading system allows compatible tips to be attached using gentle pressure while supporting uniform sealing across all twelve channels. Reduced loading and ejection force can improve operating comfort and help users maintain consistent technique during extended multichannel pipetting procedures.
The pipette is fully autoclavable and UV-resistant, supporting cleaning, sterilisation and contamination-control procedures in shared or high-throughput laboratory environments. Autoclaving should be performed according to the confirmed manufacturer instructions for temperature, pressure, cycle duration and post-autoclave performance verification.
The colour-coded design helps users identify the required pipette range quickly when multiple pipettes are stored at the same workstation. This can support clearer equipment organisation, simplify staff training and reduce the likelihood of selecting an unsuitable volume range.
LabChoice Australia supplies this Manual 12-Channel Adjustable Pipette for molecular biology, PCR and qPCR, genomics, biotechnology, biochemistry, immunoassay, pharmaceutical research, university teaching and general life-science laboratories. It is suitable for low-volume reagent distribution, assay setup, microplate preparation and repetitive sample transfer using compatible pipette tips and validated laboratory procedures.
