Description
The High-Speed Microcentrifuge, also known as a compact molecular biology centrifuge, is designed for rapid separation and processing of small-volume samples in compatible microcentrifuge tubes. Its 12-place angle rotor accommodates 0.2, 0.5, 1.5 and 2 mL tubes, supporting common molecular biology, biochemical and microsample preparation workflows.
The centrifuge provides an adjustable speed range from 300 to 15,000 rpm in 100 rpm increments and develops a maximum relative centrifugal force of 15,100 × g. Speed accuracy of ±20 rpm supports precise control during routine centrifugation. Users can switch between speed and RCF display according to the requirements of the laboratory protocol.
Run times can be programmed from 30 seconds to 99 minutes. Pulse operation and the short-time run function support quick spins, including collecting droplets from tube walls and caps or briefly sedimenting material at the bottom of compatible tubes. Acceleration to the selected speed is specified at approximately 11 seconds, with braking in approximately 15 seconds.
The brushless DC motor rapidly reaches the target speed and supports smooth operation with a specified noise level of no more than 65 dB. Wide-voltage technology enables operation from a 100 to 240 V, 50/60 Hz electrical supply and helps maintain speed stability where normal supply voltage fluctuations occur.
The centrifuge can support plasmid extraction, nucleic acid purification, DNA and RNA sample preparation, pre-sequencing processing, sedimentation of biological components and biochemical or chemical analysis of microsamples. It is suitable for molecular biology, genomics, biotechnology, biochemistry, clinical research, pharmaceutical research, university and general life-science laboratories using compatible tubes and validated centrifugation methods.
The automatic door lock and door interlock help restrict access to the rotor during operation. Overspeed detection, over-temperature detection and automatic internal diagnostics provide additional operational safeguards, while the audible alert signals completion of the run. The unit measures 272 × 260 × 154 mm, weighs 6.2 kg and has a rated power of 70 W.
LabChoice Australia supplies this High-Speed Microcentrifuge for laboratories requiring accurate, high-speed processing of small-volume biological, biochemical and chemical samples. Its compact footprint, 12-place angle rotor and quick-spin capability make it suitable for routine molecular biology and research workflows where controlled microcentrifugation is required.
