Description
The Copper Gauze Wire Mesh, 40 Mesh, also known as copper mesh or copper gauze, is designed for compatible laboratory and educational experiments requiring conductive copper mesh material. This product is listed as 40 mesh and supplied as a 300 mm square sheet, making it suitable for practical classroom and laboratory work where a larger copper gauze section is required. The copper mesh can be used in compatible electrolysis experiments, where copper’s electrical conductivity and workable mesh structure are useful for demonstration setups.
It may also support approved experiments involving conductivity, electrode behaviour, metal reactivity, material comparison and general chemistry or physics demonstrations. Users should confirm mesh aperture, wire diameter, electrical setup, electrolyte compatibility, chemical exposure, cutting method and final experiment procedure before use. Do not connect to mains electricity or unsuitable power supplies. Use only with approved low-voltage laboratory equipment and teacher-controlled experimental methods. Copper mesh should be handled carefully, especially after cutting, as edges or wire ends may be sharp. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection where required.
Copper may oxidise, darken or discolour after heating, chemical exposure or extended use in electrolyte solutions. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the selected 40 mesh copper gauze, 300 mm square only. Power supply, electrodes, leads, electrolytes, beakers, stands, clips, PPE and additional electrolysis accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Copper Gauze Wire Mesh and laboratory metal accessories for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories and educational laboratories requiring practical conductive materials for electrolysis, conductivity and demonstration experiments.
