Description
The Air Track Photogate Kit, 2 Gates and Cables, Without Timer, also known as an IEC photogate kit for air track experiments, is designed for physics teaching and motion timing demonstrations. The kit contains 2 universal photogates with the cables and plugs required for connecting them to a compatible digital timer. This kit is supplied without a timer. The optional IEC Timer LB4064-101 is the recommended model, although several IEC timers may perform well when compatible with the photogate connection requirements.
The photogates are supplied with special legs that can be pushed firmly into the sides of the gates, allowing them to engage securely with the outer corners of a normal triangular air track. Once fitted to the air track, the gates become integral with the track and can be slid along to the required position for timing and motion investigations. This photogate kit is useful for experiments involving air track gliders, elapsed time measurement, velocity, acceleration, momentum activities and other approved mechanics demonstrations. The kit is suitable for school science laboratories, physics classrooms, university teaching laboratories and STEM education environments requiring practical timing accessories for air track experiments.
Users should confirm compatibility with the air track, timer model, cable connection and experiment method before ordering or use.
