Description
The Light Box with Collimating Lens and Slit Formers, also known as a classroom optics light box, is designed for basic optics and colour blending experiments in school science and physics teaching environments. This product is supplied as the light box only with a collimating lens and a set of 3 slit formers. The full optical kit is not included, making this option suitable for replacement, expansion or use with existing compatible optics accessories.
The light box supports a wide range of basic optics activities, including ray tracing, reflection, refraction, lens demonstrations, prism work and colour blending when used with suitable accessories and approved classroom methods. The unit is designed to take a 12 V × 30 W QI lamp. Users should confirm lamp inclusion, lamp compatibility and power supply requirements before purchase or classroom setup. The lamp socket design allows one compatible light box to be plugged into another, supporting paired or extended classroom demonstrations where two boxes need to run together. The banana plugs on the cables are stackable and moulded to the cable for practical student use.
The lens adjuster is designed so it cannot be removed by students, helping reduce lost parts and supporting longer service life in busy teaching laboratories. The light box is designed to withstand normal student handling during supervised classroom practicals. Compatible optical parts and accessories are available separately where required. This item is supplied as the light box with collimating lens and 3 slit formers only. Full optics kit, mirrors, prisms, colour filters, lenses, power supply, lamp and additional accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Light Boxes with Collimating Lens and Slit Formers for school science laboratories, physics classrooms, optics teaching spaces and general education laboratories requiring practical apparatus for light, ray and colour experiments.
