Description
The Universal Bench Clamp, Alloy, for 13 mm Rods, also known as a laboratory bench clamp or bench-mounted rod holder, is designed for securing compatible support rods to a laboratory bench. The IEC designed clamp can fit benches up to 40 mm thick and can carry rods up to 13 mm diameter in either vertical or horizontal orientation. This makes the clamp useful for holding rods, supporting small apparatus, creating simple bench-mounted setups and arranging classroom demonstration equipment where a retort stand is not required.
The clamp may also be used to carry a pulley mounted on a compatible rod, such as LC-80-MF2600-001, allowing the pulley to be used as a bench-mounted pulley for mechanics experiments. Users should confirm bench thickness, rod diameter, rod load, clamp grip, apparatus weight and mounting orientation before use. Do not overload the clamp or use it with oversized rods, unstable benches, damaged threads or unsupported heavy apparatus.
When using the clamp with pulleys or moving strings, keep fingers, hair, loose clothing and small objects clear of moving parts. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the selected universal bench clamp only. Rods, pulleys, strings, weights, stands, bossheads, clamps, worksheets and additional mechanics accessories are not included unless specified separately.
