Description
The IEC Simmerstat Magnetic Stirrer Hot Plate with PTFE Coated, also known as a combination laboratory hot plate stirrer, is designed for heating and stirring compatible liquid samples in laboratory and educational settings. This unit combines hot plate heating with magnetic stirring, allowing users to heat a vessel while maintaining controlled sample movement using a suitable magnetic stir bar. The heating function is controlled by a Simmerstat temperature control, while the front panel provides the user with a mains switch, heat control and stirring speed control for straightforward operation.
The rectangular top plate is made from high-temperature alloy and measures 200 × 180 mm. The plate includes a PTFE coating to help resist corrosion and support easier cleaning after suitable laboratory use. The combination format is useful for chemistry practicals, solution preparation, sample warming, reagent mixing, classroom demonstrations and general laboratory workflows requiring heating with magnetic stirring. Users should confirm vessel suitability, liquid volume, stir bar size, temperature requirement and chemical compatibility before operation. The PTFE coating should be protected from scratching, overheating or unsuitable chemicals.
This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate teacher or laboratory supervisor control. Heated surfaces remain hazardous after use and should be allowed to cool before handling or cleaning. An EUD is required when purchasing this product.
