Description

The Fine-Grade Copper Mesh Sheet, 150 × 150 mm, also known as fine copper gauze or laboratory copper mesh, is designed for compatible laboratory, educational and demonstration applications. This mesh is supplied as a 150 mm square piece and is suitable for general science laboratory use where copper mesh is required for heating, conductivity, material comparison or demonstration work. The fine grade mesh format provides a practical surface for approved laboratory activities, including compatible heat transfer demonstrations, flame-based observations, filtration-style demonstrations or material property studies where copper mesh is suitable.

Copper is commonly used in science teaching because it is conductive, workable and visually useful for demonstrating metal behaviour. Users should confirm whether the mesh grade, aperture size and wire thickness are suitable for the intended experiment before use. This product is suitable for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories, preparation rooms and general laboratory environments requiring small copper mesh sheets for practical demonstrations. Users should confirm mesh size, mesh opening, wire diameter, heating method, chemical compatibility, cleaning procedure and final application before ordering or use.

Copper mesh should be handled carefully, especially around cut edges. Wear suitable gloves where required and avoid contact with sharp or frayed mesh ends. When heated, copper may become hot, oxidised or discoloured. Heated metal may cause burns even after the flame or heat source has been removed. Do not use with incompatible chemicals, food applications, electrical mains circuits or pressure applications unless the complete procedure has been assessed and approved.

This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the selected fine grade copper mesh, 150 mm square only. Tripod, burner, ceramic centre gauze, crucibles, stands, chemicals, PPE and additional laboratory accessories are not included unless specified separately.

LabChoice Australia supplies Copper Mesh and laboratory metal accessories for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories, research facilities and educational laboratories requiring practical materials for heating, conductivity and demonstration work.
