Description
The Viscometer, U-Tube Reverse Flow, BORO 3.3 Glass, Calibrated at 40°C, also known as calibrated BS/IP/RF reverse flow glass viscometers, are designed for laboratory measurement of kinematic viscosity in opaque Newtonian liquids. These viscometers are made from 3.3 borosilicate glass and are listed as autoclavable, supporting routine laboratory cleaning and preparation where suitable approved procedures are followed. The reverse flow U-tube design is suitable for viscosity testing workflows where flow time and calibrated viscometer constant are used to determine kinematic viscosity under controlled test conditions. This range is listed for measurement of opaque Newtonian liquids according to ASTM D445 and ISO 3104, with specifications listed as conforming to ASTM D446 and ISO 3105.
Each viscometer is supplied with a certificate of constant and is listed as calibrated at 40°C. Constants at different temperatures are available by special order at additional cost. Available sizes include 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11, covering listed viscosity ranges from 2 to 300,000 mm²/sec (cSt). The minimum sample volume is listed as 7 mL, supporting controlled viscosity measurement when used with the correct procedure, suitable viscosity bath and compatible timing method. Users should confirm the correct reverse flow U-tube size, viscosity range, approximate constant, test temperature, sample volume, liquid compatibility and method requirements before ordering or use.
Glass viscometers should be handled carefully. Avoid mechanical shock, sudden temperature changes, abrasive cleaning tools, excessive force and unsupported handling during filling, use or cleaning. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate laboratory or teacher supervision. This item is supplied as the selected reverse flow U-tube viscometer with constant certificate only. Stand, clamp, timer, pipette filler, thermometer, viscosity bath, liquids, cleaning accessories and worksheets are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Reverse Flow U-Tube Viscometers with Constant Certificates for laboratories, university teaching laboratories, testing facilities and training environments requiring calibrated BORO 3.3 glassware for opaque liquid viscosity measurements.
