Description
The Tapered Cork Stoppers, Agglomerated Cork, also known as composition cork stoppers or laboratory cork plugs, are designed for closing compatible bottles, vials and laboratory containers. These stoppers are made from cork granules and supplied in agglomerated quality, providing a practical cork stopper option for routine laboratory, educational and general container-sealing applications. The tapered shape helps the stopper fit securely into compatible bottle or vial openings, provided the correct stopper number is selected for the container neck size.
Customised orders for higher quality cork may be available by special request. Tapered sizes can also be customised in agglomerated cork where required. For boring, drilling or partway boring, users should provide a sketch or clear specification so the required hole size, position and depth can be assessed before manufacture. Users should confirm stopper number, top diameter, bottom diameter, height, bottle neck size, chemical compatibility, boring requirement and sealing method before ordering or use.
Cork stoppers are not suitable for all chemicals, high-pressure systems, vacuum use, heated sealed vessels or aggressive solvents unless the complete application has been assessed and approved. When inserting glass tubing through bored corks, use approved technique and hand protection where required. Glass tubing can break and cause cuts if forced or used with an incorrectly sized hole.
This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the selected agglomerated tapered cork stopper only. Bottles, vials, glass tubing, cork borers, labels, sealing film, PPE and additional laboratory accessories are not included unless specified separately.
