Description

The Dual Digital Wave Lab Signal Generator, also known as a dual waveform signal generator, is designed for studying wave theory in physics laboratories, electronics classrooms, university teaching laboratories and supervised educational experiments.

This microprocessor-controlled instrument generates two sets of accurate and highly stable frequencies up to 40 kHz. The two frequency outputs can be added together, shifted in phase relative to one another or modulated by one another, supporting detailed demonstrations of wave behaviour. Selectable waveforms include sine, triangular and sawtooth outputs. These waveform options make the instrument suitable for teaching signal shape, waveform comparison, phase relationships, superposition and modulation effects. The generator is useful for studying harmonics, beat frequencies and related wave phenomena. An oscilloscope can be connected to view the waveforms and observe the effects produced when signals are combined, shifted or modulated.

Output power is digitally controlled, and the built-in high power amplifiers allow the instrument to drive suitable large speakers or headphones. This supports both classroom demonstrations and private listening activities during sound and wave experiments. A keyboard system allows frequencies to be entered directly within the instrument’s operating range. External signals can also be applied, supporting more advanced demonstrations and flexible classroom investigation work.

The supplied kit includes a microphone and headphones. A compatible pair of wide range speakers is available separately under LC-80-LB2065-001 for applications requiring speaker-based wave demonstrations. The instrument operates from 240 V AC mains power and should be used under appropriate supervision. Users should connect compatible loads, remain within the intended operating limits and follow standard electrical safety procedures during classroom and laboratory use.

LabChoice Australia supplies Dual Digital Wave Lab Signal Generators for school physics departments, electronics classrooms, university teaching laboratories and educational wave theory workspaces. They are suitable for supervised studies of sound waves, phase shift, superposition, modulation, harmonics, beat frequencies and oscilloscope-based waveform analysis.
