- Description
Description
The LCD Digital Hotplate, also known as a digital laboratory heating plate, is designed for routine benchtop heating where controlled operation, moderate high-temperature performance and a practical work plate size are required. It is suitable for laboratory sample preparation, solution warming, general heating tasks, education facilities, testing areas and technical workspaces.
The 6-inch work plate measures 140 × 140 mm and is made from aluminium with a ceramic coating. This provides a practical heating surface for compatible laboratory vessels, supporting everyday heating procedures where stable vessel placement, manageable bench footprint and routine usability are important.
The hotplate provides a heating temperature range from room temperature to 380°C, adjustable in 1°C increments. This makes it suitable for routine laboratory applications that require controlled heating but do not require higher 500°C to 550°C hotplate performance.
The LCD display provides clear visibility of temperature and time information during operation. This digital format supports easier monitoring for users carrying out repeated heating tasks, sample preparation steps or general laboratory warming procedures.
External temperature monitoring is supported by a PT1000 temperature sensor with stated accuracy of ±0.2°C. This allows users to monitor sample or vessel temperature more closely where direct temperature feedback is required by the laboratory method.
Overheating temperature protection is set at 420°C, supporting controlled operation during heating workflows. The unit has one heating position and IP21 protection class, making it suitable for routine benchtop use in controlled laboratory environments.
The compact design provides a useful balance between working surface and bench-space efficiency. With a 6-inch plate size, it offers more working area than smaller compact hotplates while remaining practical for laboratories with limited bench space.
LabChoice Australia supplies this LCD Digital Hotplate for Australian laboratories, schools, universities, research facilities, testing laboratories, quality-control areas and technical workspaces. It is suitable for routine sample preparation, solution warming, general heating, teaching practicals and controlled benchtop heating using compatible vessels and validated laboratory procedures.
