Description
The Sound Level Meter, also known as a digital decibel meter, is designed for measuring sound levels in laboratory, classroom and educational environments. This meter has a listed sound range of 30.0 dB to 130.0 dB, making it suitable for a wide range of sound intensity demonstrations, environmental noise observations and classroom investigations. The meter supports both A weighted and C weighted measurement modes, allowing users to select the appropriate weighting for the intended sound measurement activity.
The listed frequency range is 31.5 Hz to 8000 Hz, supporting general educational and laboratory sound-level measurements across common teaching applications. Fast and slow response settings can be selected, helping users compare changing sound levels or more stable sound sources during practical demonstrations. The unit includes an LED backlit display, plastic casing and pocket sized design, making it practical for handheld classroom use, laboratory benches and field-style educational activities.
The listed dimensions are 210 × 55 × 32 mm, allowing users to confirm storage, handling and portability requirements before ordering. Users should confirm required accuracy, calibration status, battery requirements, measurement method, weighting mode and response setting before use. This meter should not be used as the sole basis for regulatory, occupational noise compliance or certified acoustic reporting unless calibration and suitability have been independently confirmed. Avoid exposing the meter to excessive moisture, impact, dust, solvents or sound levels beyond the rated range. Use suitable hearing protection where high sound levels may be present.
This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the sound level meter only. Battery, calibrator, tripod, carry case, calibration certificate, worksheets and additional acoustic accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Sound Level Meters and physics teaching instruments for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories and educational facilities requiring practical tools for sound, noise and acoustic measurement demonstrations.
