Description
The Anodised Aluminium Resonance Tube, also known as a sound resonance tube, is designed for physics demonstrations involving resonance, sound waves and frequency-length relationships. This simple resonance tube consists of a straight piece of anodised aluminium tube with a listed diameter of 50 mm and a listed length of 600 mm. A loudspeaker can be used with the tube to create resonance, allowing students to investigate how sound frequency and tube length affect resonance conditions in an air column.
The apparatus is useful for teaching resonance, standing waves, wavelength, frequency response and acoustic behaviour in school and university physics laboratories. Users should confirm the required loudspeaker, signal source, frequency range, support method, tube positioning and experiment procedure before use. Avoid exposing the tube to impact, dents or rough handling, as deformation may affect the experiment setup and acoustic behaviour.
Sound experiments should be conducted at safe listening levels. Do not expose students or operators to excessive sound intensity during resonance demonstrations. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the anodised aluminium resonance tube only. Loudspeaker, signal generator, amplifier, microphone, supports, clamps, Kundt’s Tube, worksheets and additional sound experiment accessories are not included unless specified separately.
