Description
The Ohm’s Law Apparatus, also known as a classroom Ohm’s Law demonstration board, is designed for supervised physics experiments showing the relationship between current, voltage and resistance. This apparatus consists of a wooden enclosure fitted with a milliammeter, voltmeter, rheostat, push key and terminal posts as listed, providing the main control and measurement components for an Ohm’s Law practical setup. During the experiment, current and voltage readings can be observed using the fitted meters, and resistance can be calculated using Ohm’s Law by comparing measured voltage and current values.
The included rheostat allows current adjustment during the demonstration, helping students observe how changing circuit conditions affects the meter readings. A push key is included so the circuit can be made only when required, helping reduce unnecessary heating of the resistance element during classroom practical work. This apparatus requires an external battery and a suitable resistance, both of which are not supplied as listed. Users should confirm external battery voltage, resistance value, circuit layout, meter ranges, terminal compatibility and teacher-approved experiment method before use.
Do not connect directly to mains electricity or unsuitable power supplies. Use only with compatible low-voltage educational circuits. Avoid short circuits, incorrect polarity, overloaded meters and prolonged current flow through resistance elements, as components may heat during operation. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the Ohm’s Law apparatus only. External battery, suitable resistance, connecting leads, spare meters, worksheets, PPE and additional electrical accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Ohm’s Law Apparatus and physics teaching equipment for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories and educational facilities requiring practical tools for electricity, current, voltage and resistance demonstrations.
