Description
The Methyl Violet Test Paper, also known as methyl violet pH indicator paper, is designed for checking strongly acidic compatible solutions within a narrow pH range. This test paper transitions from yellow at pH 0.2 to violet at pH 2.0, allowing users to make an approximate visual comparison in strongly acidic conditions. The supplied instructions state that the methyl violet indicator remains violet above pH 2.0 and gradually turns yellow at pH 0.2.
To use, remove one strip from the vial while avoiding unnecessary contact with the test area, dip the strip into the solution for 1–2 seconds, then remove and compare the colour response according to the approved method. This product is useful for chemistry classrooms, teaching laboratories and compatible solution-checking workflows where methyl violet narrow range pH paper is suitable. This test paper should not be used to test the stability of nitrocellulose propellants. Use the correct Military Methyl Violet product or approved procedure where that specific application is required.
Users should confirm required pH range, colour chart availability, sample compatibility, exposure time, storage condition, expiry status and intended testing method before use. These strips are not for medical diagnosis, treatment decisions, clinical testing or any medical-device application.
