Description
The Digital Mini Wave Signal Generator, also known as a laboratory waveform generator, is designed for producing controlled electrical waveforms in physics laboratories, electronics classrooms, university teaching laboratories and supervised educational circuit experiments.
This compact signal generator provides sine, square, triangle and sawtooth waveforms. It is suitable for demonstrating waveform behaviour, frequency response, signal shape and the basic operation of connected instruments such as oscilloscopes. The frequency range is stated as 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz. The crystal-locked design provides high stability, with frequency accuracy stated at approximately 0.01% in the supplied specifications. The quick-set frequency system supports fast preset frequency selection during classroom demonstrations. Resolution is stated as 0.1 Hz up to 10 kHz, and 1 Hz from 10 kHz up to 100 kHz.
The instrument runs from 240 V AC mains power. The adjustable output is stated as 15 V peak-to-peak or 5 V AC RMS, with output current up to 1 A into the load. The output is current limited against overload, supporting safer use in supervised teaching environments. This signal generator is suitable for Kundt’s Apparatus, audio experiments, resonance experiments using inductance and capacitance, and demonstrations involving oscilloscope function. The higher output power also supports larger speakers or vibration apparatus such as Melde’s Apparatus, where compatible. As a mains-powered laboratory instrument, it should be used only under appropriate supervision and connected to compatible loads within the stated output limits. Users should follow standard electrical safety procedures for classroom and laboratory circuit work.
LabChoice Australia supplies Digital Signal Generators for school physics departments, electronics classrooms, university teaching laboratories and educational electrical workspaces. They are suitable for supervised waveform generation, resonance studies, audio demonstrations, oscilloscope training and practical circuit investigations.
