Description
The Boyle’s Law Apparatus Parts and Spares, also known as Boyle’s Law demonstration replacement components, are designed to support laboratory and classroom experiments involving the pressure-volume relationship of gases. They are suitable for school science laboratories, physics classrooms, chemistry classrooms, university teaching laboratories and supervised educational gas law demonstrations. This range includes parts for both low-pressure syringe type demonstrations and high-pressure glass tube systems. Users can select replacement components according to the existing Boyle’s Law apparatus type, experiment method and required spare part.
The syringe only component uses a commercial plastic syringe for weight-loaded compression experiments. By applying weights to the system, the gas is compressed to selected volumes, and plunger distance markings are used to indicate volume changes during Boyle’s Law demonstrations. High-pressure glass tube spares are available in open and closed end formats. The later model open tube is a heavy-walled glass tube open at both ends, with stated size 12 × 649 mm OD × length, 2.2 mm wall thickness and flamed ends for smooth edges. The early model closed tube is stated as 12 × 650 mm OD × length.
Consumable and sealing parts include a high-pressure coloured fluid bottle, stated as enough for one loading, and an O-ring set of 8 pieces for the high-pressure pot and related seal locations. Users should confirm the correct system version before selecting sealing parts. System replacement components include a complete high-pressure pressure pot assembly and a spare high-pressure air pump. The spare pump is plastic and is stated as able to be pumped easily by hand. These parts are intended for supervised laboratory and educational use only. High-pressure apparatus, glass tubes, pressure pots, seals and hand pumps should be inspected before use, assembled correctly and operated according to the relevant experiment instructions and safety procedures.
LabChoice Australia supplies Boyle’s Law Apparatus Parts and Spares for school physics departments, chemistry classrooms, university teaching laboratories and educational science workspaces. They are suitable for maintaining syringe-based Boyle’s Law demonstrations, high-pressure pressure-volume experiments, glass tube replacement, coloured fluid loading, pressure pot servicing and pump replacement.
