Description
The Air Track Old Style Brass Glider Weights, 50 g and 100 g, also known as old style air track glider mass blocks, are designed for compatible older air track glider systems. These weights are brass blocks that clamp inside the glider spine, allowing users to add mass to the glider for approved physics experiments. Available options include a 50 g brass glider weight and a 100 g brass glider weight, allowing users to select the required mass for their existing old style glider setup. The added weight supports practical demonstrations where glider mass affects acceleration, momentum, kinetic energy and collision behaviour on a low-friction air track.
These weights are useful for lessons covering Newton’s laws of motion, force and acceleration, conservation of momentum, collision comparison and air track-based dynamics. Users should confirm the air track glider model, old style spine design, clamp fit, selected mass and experiment requirements before ordering or use. The weight should be clamped securely inside the glider spine before the glider is operated. Do not use if the weight is loose, damaged or incompatible with the selected glider. Keep hands, loose clothing and fragile items clear of moving gliders during air track operation.
Small brass weights should be handled carefully and stored securely when not in use to reduce loss, drop hazards and small-part risks. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate teacher or laboratory supervision. This item is supplied as the selected old style brass glider weight only. Air track, glider, blower, screws, timers, photogates, cables and additional air track accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Air Track Glider Weights and spare parts for school science laboratories, physics classrooms, university teaching laboratories and STEM programs requiring practical components for maintaining air track motion experiment equipment.
