The Boyle’s Law High Pressure Spare Glass Tubes, Open and Closed, also known as replacement glass tubes for Boyle’s Law apparatus, are designed for compatible high pressure Boyle’s Law equipment used in physics and gas law demonstrations. The later model spare tube is a heavy walled glass tube open at both ends, with a listed size of 12 mm OD × 649 mm length and 2.2 mm wall thickness. The later model open tube is also listed with flamed ends, helping provide smoother edges for compatible apparatus fitting and handling. The early model spare tube is a heavy walled glass tube with closed end, with a listed size of 12 mm OD × 650 mm length.
These tubes are useful replacement parts for laboratories maintaining Boyle’s Law high pressure apparatus used to demonstrate the pressure-volume relationship under controlled classroom conditions. Users should confirm whether their apparatus is the later model open-ended type or the early model closed-ended type before ordering.
