Description

The High Power Signal Generator, also known as a laboratory waveform generator, is designed for producing controlled electrical signals in physics laboratories, electronics classrooms, university teaching laboratories and supervised educational circuit experiments.

This instrument is suitable for waveform demonstrations, audio experiments, resonance studies and practical electronics teaching. It can be used to provide sine, triangular and square waveforms for observing signal behaviour with compatible circuits and instruments. The frequency range is stated as 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz, selected over 6 ranges by a graduated control knob. This supports a broad range of classroom activities, from low-frequency mechanical vibration demonstrations through to higher frequency electronics experiments. Two output options are provided. Output 1 is stated as 600 Ω impedance with 0 to 10 V peak output. Output 2 is stated as 20 Ω impedance with adjustable 0 to 10 V peak output and current limiting at 0.5 A.

The selectable waveform options include sine, triangular, square with positive and negative excursion, and square with positive excursion only. These outputs support experiments involving waveform comparison, signal shape, resonance, audio response and oscilloscope observation. Because of its high current output, the generator can run suitable large speakers and other compatible mechanical devices directly without requiring a separate amplifier. This makes it useful for classroom demonstrations involving vibration, sound, resonance and mechanical response. The instrument operates from 240 V AC mains power and should be used only under appropriate supervision. Users should connect compatible loads, remain within the stated output limits and follow standard electrical safety procedures during laboratory and classroom operation.

LabChoice Australia supplies High Power Signal Generators for school physics departments, electronics classrooms, university teaching laboratories and educational electrical workspaces. They are suitable for supervised waveform generation, resonance studies, audio demonstrations, vibration experiments and practical circuit investigations.
