The Air Track Spark Paper Rolls, also known as spark recording paper for air track motion experiments, are designed for use with compatible air track spark timing systems. They are suitable for school physics laboratories, university teaching laboratories and supervised educational mechanics demonstrations. This range includes spare white spark paper and black spark paper used together during air track spark recording. The paper system helps create dot patterns that can be measured and related to velocity during low-friction motion experiments.
The white spark paper roll is stated as 20 mm wide × 180 m long. It is described as wider than recording timer paper and is placed over the black spark paper during use. The black spark paper roll is stated as 20 mm wide × 10 m long. It is placed underneath the white paper so that, when a spark passes through both papers to earth, a black dot forms on the underside of the white paper.
