Description
The Plastic Wave Demonstration Spring, also known as a wave motion spring or classroom wave spring, is designed for supervised demonstrations of wave behaviour in physics and general science lessons. This lightweight, highly visible plastic spring can be stretched and moved by hand to demonstrate wave motion in mid-air, helping students observe how waves travel through a medium. The spring expands from 50 cm to 370 cm as listed, providing enough working length for classroom demonstrations of wave pulses, continuous waves and reflected wave behaviour.
It is useful for showing transverse waves, longitudinal waves, compression, rarefaction, wavelength, amplitude and general wave propagation concepts in a simple visual format. The plastic construction makes it easy to handle during teacher-led activities, while the visible spring form helps students follow wave movement across the stretched length. Users should confirm available classroom space, demonstration method, student handling rules and suitable stretching distance before use.
Do not overstretch, twist sharply or release the spring suddenly toward another person. Keep the spring away from faces, eyes, glassware, lights, equipment and sharp bench edges. This product is intended for laboratory or educational settings only and should be used under appropriate supervision. This item is supplied as the plastic wave demonstration spring only. Stands, clamps, wave machines, worksheets, markers, storage bags and additional physics accessories are not included unless specified separately.
LabChoice Australia supplies Wave Demonstration Springs and physics teaching equipment for school science laboratories, university teaching laboratories and educational facilities requiring practical tools for wave motion demonstrations.
